What is your most memorable short story?

The Tell-Tale Heart by Edgar Allan Poe was my most memorable short story.  I enjoy reading science fiction and this story adhered to me.  I like how the floorboard makes the sound of a beating heart.  The quilt factor is the short story is very strong.  The moral of the story is to not commit murder or any crime, because the quilt will come back to haunt you and even make you go crazy.
